A Strategy for the Boston Tea Party

The coming elections in 2010 and 2012 will be very important for the Boston Tea Party if we are to become an effective and lasting organization. If we do not grow and show that we can become a potent force for smaller government in the next few years, it is unlikely that we ever will. This is because we will have the stigma of being not only a small organization but also an old one. If we do not make a good showing in the Presidential and the other races of 2012 our importance level, I believe, is likely to seek to that of the modern Prohibition Party.

Announcement of Special Election Candidacy

My Fellow Boston Tea’ers,

I’ve watched as several of our National Committee members, most recently Tom Knapp and Steve Trinward, have resigned. Resignations are rarely a good thing and they often create unstable situations. But this situation has not come of the blue, our party has been plagued with problems and our National Committee has seemed to do nothing but escalate these problems.

There has been some controversy over how many votes John Hospers received as the 1972 Libertarian Presidential candidate and weather the 2008 Boston Tea Party candidate received a higher number of votes. Both Hospers and Jay are their party's first presidential candidates.

Bob Barr and the Supreme Court

An short article I wrote soon to be on NolanChart.com:

Today, I received an email from the Bob Barr campaign entitled “Who will be on the Supreme Court one year from today?”. Russell Verney, the Barr Campaign Manager, showed how much of a neo-conservative both him and Bob Barr. In the e-mail he said:

"Barack Obama has made it clear that his Supreme Court nominees would be of the variety to make laws without regard for the Constitution. He has publicly stated his disdain for justices Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito and Chief Justice John Roberts."

A Plan for Growing Our Party and libertarianism in General

In order to grow our party and libertarian ideas in general I believe we must do outreach. With the election coming to an end we must turn ourselves into an educational organization. This will be as or more effect as running in elections. Let’s not lay down the Boston Tea Party after November 4th, let’s continue to grow and the spread the message of freedom.

Where is a Ron Paul Activist to Go? The Boston Tea Party!

A call to all Ron Paul activsts to join the Boston Tea Party writen by me and published at ronpaulforums.com and Nolanchart.com:

Ron Paul inspired millions with his message of freedom and brought hope to the American political process. But with all the enthusiasm and activism Ron Paul inspired he did not win the Republican Nomination. Ron Paul activist looked to the Libertarian Party to give them a candidate they could support. Instead the LP nominated Bob Barr.
