On the New York Times online editorial page was an item that syphoned my attention rather nicely. "The Nuremberg Hangings --- Not So Smooth Either" by Tom Zeller [Jan 17, 2007], said in part, "...a number of the hanged Nazis died...from slow strangulation..." (quoting a Mr. Donald E. Wilkes, Jr., a professor of law at the University of georgia Law School).
An appropriate response might be "DUH!" Last I heard, that was the general idea.
