John Wayne Smith on the LP

John Wayne Smith recently issued a pretty nice press release about some of the issues facing another political party, the Libertarian Party.

I sincerely appreciate John's commitment to liberty, to sensible politics, and to the Boston Tea Party. His views on the Angela Keaton controversy seem well conceived. For my own part, I think Angela is an excellent activist who would is a valued member of our party. Her merits are lost on the LP, as pearls often before swine.

With regard to former Boston Tea Party vice chair Tom Stevens, I do wonder at his duplicity. For a time, it seems, tri-plicity. Before he became vice chair of the Boston Tea Party for a time he was a co-founder of the Objectivist party with intent to run as its candidate for president, while also serving on the LP, and as a presidential elector for Bob Barr. I think we are well shed of him. How the LP behaves toward him, I don't see as any of my business.
