The national committee is considering this motion:
MOTION: that the On-Line Convention to select the Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates of the Boston Tea Party commence on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time; that all Affiliates of the Boston Tea Party that have been granted a Charter by the National Committee on or before June 10, 2008 be entitled to cast one vote in favor of a prospective Presidential nominee and one vote in favor of a prospective Vice-Presidential nominee; that the On-Line Convention remain open until all chartered Affiliates have cast their votes; that the candidate for President receiving a plurality of the affiliate votes cast shall be the nominee of the Boston Tea Party for 2008; that the candidate for Vice-President receiving a plurality of the affiliate votes cast shall be the nominee of the Boston Tea Party for 2008; and that in the case of a tie vote for either President or Vice-President, the Chair of the Boston Tea Party shall cast the deciding vote.

This should set a fire under those prospective state affiliates who have not adopted the bylaws for their state, or otherwise gotten the affiliate organized.
