The Boston Tea Party National Committee passed the following resolution on January 22, 2009:

Be it Resolved:
The Boston Tea Party National Committee supports the "February 1 Tea
Party" (http://market-ticker.org/archives/732-TEA-PARTY-February-1st.html)
AND asks every member of the BTP to mail 1 bag of tea to the President
of the United States
AND 1 tea bag to the member's Representative in the House
AND 1 tea bag to each of the member's two Senators
