Support Scott Brown

What I'm about to describe may be our best chance of killing the bill that will essentially kill our liberty. There is still a way we can stop government run healthcare, and it comes in the form of Scott Brown, a candidate for U.S. Senate in the special election in Massachusetts.

The special election takes place on January 19th between Liberal Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown.

Brown, a state senator and strong opponent of government run healthcare, would strip Democrats of the ability to pass the bill should he get elected.

Last October, polls showed Brown trailing by 26%. Today, Rasmussen released a poll showing Brown was only trailing by 2% among likely voters!

WE HAVE A CHANCE!

This is New York 23 all over, only better. This time it's a simple two way race with no way to split the vote three ways.

But to win it, we need to throw all of our resources behind Brown and help make it happen.

HELP US NOW!

Blog it, tweet it, visit the Scott Brown campaign website and donate/volunteer directly... do whatever you can to help take this seat!

Please, committee, reconsider. You have a few days left. It may be the death of the Tea Party movement if it endorses a candidate that gets 3% of the vote, which is where Kennedy is as of Tuesday, and it will certainly be the death of our freedom relative to Obamacare and the next spending atrocity.

inDglass:

The "death of our freedom" is the maintenance of the two-party establishment in Washington D.C. Two huge organizations financed by special interests promote two candidates to narrow your choice between two "evils," both of whom have platforms which compromise your liberty. The financiers fund both sides and rig the election to rob you of your life, liberty, and property no matter which of the two wins. Voting for either of these candidates compromises your liberty by maintaining the establishment system and giving these people your permission to continue robbing you.

Liberty is all or nothing. Make no compromises.

The BTP has endorsed Joe Kennedy

For Immediate Release
December 26, 2009

Boston Tea Party National Committee has, by a vote of 4-0 with two members not voting, endorsed Joe Kennedy for US Senate. Joe Kennedy is running as an independent in the special election to fill the seat vacated by the late Edward Kennedy from Massachusetts (he is not related to the late Senator).

Joe Kennedy recently announced his support of HR 4248, the Free Competition in Currency Act, a bill endorsed by the BTP National Committee as part of the "Honest Money" Resolution. At-Large Rep. Darryl W. Perry said, "Joe Kennedy is the only candidate (in this election) that supports a Competitive Currency (establishing an effective monetary policy to maintain strong currency at home and a competitive currency abroad for balancing trade,) and an Audit/End of the Federal Reserve System."

BTP Chairman Doug Gaking added, "He supports Ron Paul's Audit the Fed and Free Competition of Currency acts and takes a strict libertarian position on just about everything."

In accepting the endorsement, Kennedy commented, "I am very excited to receive the endorsement of the Boston Tea Party. Before I was a politician I was a TEA Party Activist and like millions of others I see the looming problems with our government. Our great nation is rapidly racing toward bankruptcy. Taxation is growing without restraint and the freedoms and ideals we grew up with are vanishing. All the while our politicians have stopped caring and stopped listening to the wants and needs of the population. As a country we deserve lower taxes and a smaller, more responsible and less intrusive government. As TEA Party Activists we insist on more freedom, State's rights and a government that listens to the people it represents not one that takes our money and turns a deaf ear to the population it supports. These are the needs of our nation and the foundation of the Boston Tea Party and my candidacy. I am running on Tea Party Principals and I will represent them fully in the Senate. My gratitude (goes out) to the Boston Tea Party for the honor of their endorsement."

The Boston Tea Party was founded in 2006 with a one sentence platform, "The Boston Tea Party supports reducing the size, scope and power of government at all levels and on all issues, and opposes increasing the size, scope and power of government at any level, for any purpose." In October 2008, the party's National Convention adopted the four point program of the Campaign for Liberty. Their program calls for an end to overseas occupation, a restoration of privacy and other liberties, no increase in the national debt, and a thorough review of the Federal Reserve.

If you want lower taxes and less Government in your lives along with helping to defeat Health Care Reform which will lead to higher taxes and Canadain style helathcare Care then I suugest you vote for Scott Brown.

brobri:

Marg, please understand that Scott Brown is a Republican. What you are advocating here is to vote for "the lesser of two evils". I don't vote with that philosophy in mind. I VOTE ON PRINCIPLE. Who is most likely to stand by the Constitution? Who is most likely to stand by the Bill of Rights?
I have been to Scott Brown's website, and I can say that he is a true Republican, and holds the same Republican views as most Republicans do. I do not hold the same views as most Republicans do.
Your post regarding Mr. Brown is well noted, however I will not agree with your strategic advice.

southernpatriot:

You are certainly entitled to your opinion about Mr. Brown; but this Party has officially endorsed Joe Kennedy.

As an At-Large Rep to the National Committee I would appreciate if you didn't post in favor of candidates not endorsed by the BTP, especially candidates FACING someone that is BTP endorsed.

in Liberty,
Darryl W. Perry
