I've Changed My Mind

Due to the snide and pathetic remarks made by Mr. Chrysaetos and his sniveling rants laced with ad hominems at me in his posts, I've changed my mind.

I'm coming back to the BTP. I'm here for good.

And this time I ain't leaving.

You might as well take your leave now, Fuzz Nuts.

Todd izzzzz back in this Party.

*Calls up a cab and escorts Mr. Chrysaetos out of the Party* Give this dude a ride to the airport here. I'm showing him the door.

*Mr. Chrysaetos gets into the cab and drives away*

Todd, welcome home. You are very welcome here. I think your contributions to the party have been very valuable. Much of what the party is, including the fact that it is in Michigan, is due to your efforts.

In my view, there is no reason to trust the Libertarian Party to be about liberty at all. There is clearly a need for a tea party that is actually committed to freedom.

Too many of the other tea parties seem to be racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, and pro-war. The opportunity to have a party committed to smaller government on all issues and at all levels is here, and it is nowhere else.

To the extent that party politics make any sense, this party is the place to make sense.

I agree with VTV that personal vendetta is not the most wholesome form of motivation. It would be better, in my view, if you and other individuals would bury the hatchet until we have a much smaller government, or for a few decades, whichever comes first.

However, you have every right to express yourself just as you see fit.

VTV:

I agree with everything Jim said here too. However, Todd please consider this carefully:

"*Calls up a cab and escorts Mr. Chrysaetos out of the Party* Give this dude a ride to the airport here. I'm showing him the door.

*Mr. Chrysaetos gets into the cab and drives away*"

What does this mean exactly? That your going to drive him out of the party?

Once again. No offense I don't know this guy or why your mad at him. But consider very carefully your motivations or you could hurt the party more then you help it. We don't need more of these feuds. The monumental amounts of time we have wasted on them in this party already is proof of that.

(Note: Including the time I wasted on them. For the record.)

If you want me to answer your questions, fine. I will answer them.

And here are my answers:

"What does this mean exactly?"

It means that I'm helping him leave the Party. He said in one of the posts that if I had remained in the Party, he would have left it.

Here's what he said:

"The BTP is well-rid of you. And, had you remained in it, I would have terminated MY participation, STAT. OUT."

Well, the BTP ain't well-rid of me, and I don't like pricks like him pushing me out, even though I initially said that I was leaving it. He's not the main reason I came back, but he is a big part of it.

"That your going to drive him out of the party?"

No one, including I, drove him out of the Party. I didn't have to drive him out of the Party. As a matter, he did that to himself. He said he would "terminate his participation" in the BTP if I remained in it. Well, I decided to give him a hand on that.

Besides, I was changing my mind about my earlier decision to leave the Party. I'm allowed to change my mind.

Is there a problem with that?

VTV:

I would say there is a problem with it. For the reasons that InDglass pointed out as well as the fact that coming back to a political party just so someone else will leave it is bad form. Particularly if you want to run for office again.

inDglass:

Actually, I never said that.

inDglass:

Was anybody really surprised by this?

No offense, Todd, but watching you go in and out of the party and various roles in the party is like watching a game of tennis! LOL

VTV:

Todd...

No offense intended to you. I know that sounds unlikely. But have you considered that personal vendetta is not a good reason to be involved with the party? This would not be the first time you have allowed that to cloud your judgement.
