Voting Issue

I made a mistake while setting up this year's convention. The party has always had a policy of closing membership during conventions. I forgot to disable new membership on Wednesday night when we opened the convention. I will be checking logs and polls to ensure that no votes by members who joined after 7PM on Wednesday are counted. I apologize to our new members, but this is something we have always done as a security measure, and I simply made a mistake and forgot to disable it among all the other responsibilities I had to do on Wednesday night.

New membership is now closed. The following members' votes will not be counted, as they joined after the convention started:

Marino
mkbusher
jmvandenberg
FusionHalo
hickfromhell666
floydman
Zeraius
seabrali
Eric St. Pierre
goldenbutterfly35
Synergy011235813
figr
Corvinex

I apologize again for any frustrations this may cause.

Comments

inDglass:

We have an additional issue which has come up today as well. It appears that two accounts, planetaryjim and Amendall, are connecting from the same IP.

Either there is a man named John Amendall, who bears a strikingly similar attitude to that of Jim Davidson and happens to connect to the internet from the same place as Jim Davidson, or Jim has two accounts so that he can vote in polls and make comments without putting his name on it. I emailed Jim this morning, and he has not yet answered my request to either admit he has two accounts or put me in contact with Mr. Amendall to clear up the matter.Until I receive verification that both planetaryjim and Amendall are the legitimate accounts of two separate party members, the accounts' votes will not be included in election results.

inDglass:

The keeper of the Amendall account has refused to confirm that he is not JIm Davidson. He has left me no choice but to disable the account. Jim should be grateful we're even letting him have one account after abusing his membership privilege in this way.

VTV:

Seems a bit late in the game to do that now.
