Nominations for At-Large Rep

We have a vacancy on the Boston Tea Party National Committee for at large members. The primary responsibility of these officers is to vote on committee motions and create motions if they wish. You can read more details about the office in Article 9 of the bylaws.

Nominations have been closed; a poll has been opened at http://bostontea.us/node/889

Article 9 Section c "All candidates who are nominated by two or more members of the Party, and who accept nomination (also through the comments form) shall be listed on a poll on the Party's web site. The method of election shall be "approval voting" -- each voting Party member may cast votes for all nominees whom he or she deems acceptable"

Todd Andrew Barnett:

I nominate Michael Shanklin for the spot. He'll be joining the Party, but he'd make a great candidate for the seat.

Todd Andrew Barnett:

Doug Gaking seconds it. He's at lunch, so I'm seconding it for him.

inDglass:

Thanks, Todd, for relaying my second. I forgot that this was closing this afternoon.

shanklinmike:

Thank you Todd and Doug.

It would be an honor to work with and voice my concerns within the Party. Thank you for your time and work for Freedom.

planetaryjim:

I nominate Tom Knapp for the vacant at large position.

Todd Andrew Barnett:

I second this nomination.

Thomas L. Knapp:

Thank you for the nomination and the second. I respectfully decline.

planetaryjim:

What a disappointment.

ahtee84:

how to vote? didnt see any poll either.. i it by reply here? i nominate VTV

Todd Andrew Barnett:

I nominate Tom Blanton for the At-Large seat.

The reason? He was the Party's first chair, and he was a decent leader in the Party. I think, if elected to the NatComm, he would be an invaluable asset as a fourth At-Large member.

southernpatriot:

I second this nomination

planetaryjim:

Perhaps Todd could contact Tom Blanton for his possible acceptance?

Todd Andrew Barnett:

Nope, I can't find any contact info for him. He doesn't even have a Facebook account.

southernpatriot:

I nominate Doug Gaking

rmbarlow:

I second the nomination of Douglas Gaking

Todd Andrew Barnett:

I'm on the Skype phone with Doug now. On his behalf, he accepts the nomination, as he is at lunch and is not at his computer to do it himself.

inDglass:

Thanks, Todd, for relaying my acceptance. I forgot that this was closing this afternoon.

rayzer:

I second the nomination of VTV.

VTV:

I accept.

VTV:

I nominate myself for this position.
