Resignation from the National Committee

As of today, due to personal issues going on with me and my need to get my life in order, I am resigning from the National Committee as an At-Large member. It's been a long time coming.

I'll see everyone around. I'll still be in the Party, but you won't hear from me that much.

As for the BTPMI, whoever wants to do it, that's fine with me. I just don't have the time to do it now.

This seat will be considered vacant at 19:58PM CDT on July 17, 2010 and nominations will be open as soon after the 24 hrs passes as possible and for 3 days.
Article 8 Section j) If a member of the National Committee resigns, the position shall after 24 hours be deemed vacant and filled by the membership in a special election, the method of election being identical to that described in section (c) above, with the exception that nominations shall open within three days of the resignation and remain open for three days, and that the member poll shall begin at the close of nominations and remain open for seven days.

Since my resignation was based on something that actually happened in the libertarian movement and I know the 24 hours window expired, I am returning to the movement and the Party. I just would like to rescind my resignation, but if I can't, I understand.

You can certainly nominate yourself to fill the now vacant seat, but as nominations are already, it's too late to rescind your resignation.
