Question for Robert Milnes and Request for Tiffany Briscoe

First, let me say, thank you both for volunteering to represent the party. I have one question for Mr. Milnes and a request for Tiffany Briscoe.

Mr. Milnes,

You said in the debate that you were banned from IPR. What were the circumstances surrounding this ban?

Tiffany,

Can you provide a photo of yourself and/or prove that you are in fact above 35 years of age?

Proposal for "The 'NO' more 'Drama Act'"

Whereas Todd Andrew Barnett and Neil Kiernan Stephenson appear to be unable to respond to each others' comments and/or posts without resorting to some sort of personal invective, I move that commenting and/or posting privileges be limited to only those members who have pledged to not engage in personal invective in any public comment and/or post whatever.

Anyone second?

Polling issues for current nat-com at-large election

Attention all members,

Updates to the Drupal software have made it nearly impossible for us to post a poll with approval voting, as our bylaws require. The controversy following our last convention was caused by this issue.

While attempting to fix the problem with the current election for the vacant at-large seat, our chair, Darryl, posted a series of polls which were also no structured in accordance with the bylaws. I got creative, and figured out a temporary fix, which is here: http://bostontea.us/node/889

National Ballot Access Coordination Committee

We were not prepared for 2010. We are not going to have any candidates under the Boston Tea Party banner on the ballot this year. This does not mean we cannot endorse candidates who agree with our platform but in terms of ballot access, we were finished before we even started for 2010.

This should not happen in 2012.

Voting Issue

I made a mistake while setting up this year's convention. The party has always had a policy of closing membership during conventions. I forgot to disable new membership on Wednesday night when we opened the convention. I will be checking logs and polls to ensure that no votes by members who joined after 7PM on Wednesday are counted. I apologize to our new members, but this is something we have always done as a security measure, and I simply made a mistake and forgot to disable it among all the other responsibilities I had to do on Wednesday night.
